Memorial Day Ceremonies Set for Kankakee County

Kankakee County, IL – Memorial Day ceremonies are scheduled across Kankakee County later this morning, honoring military members who have passed. 

The Kankakee County Veterans Council will host its first ceremony at Memorial Gardens on Route 17 East at 9:00 a.m. The second ceremony will take place at the Kankakee County Courthouse at 10:30 a.m.

According to the Veterans Assistance Commission of Kankakee County, attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and umbrellas, as the events will proceed rain or shine. 

The ceremonies will feature presentations, speeches, and musical selections by local veterans.
