St. Paul, MN – Minnesota residents should prepare for a series of thunderstorms expected to impact the region through mid-week. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a forecast indicating that showers and thunderstorms will arrive late Monday night, continuing into Tuesday morning. Another round of isolated storms is possible Tuesday afternoon in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

According to the NWS Twin Cities, Wednesday evening presents a slight risk of severe storms. The primary threats include large hail, damaging winds, and the potential for tornadoes. These storms are expected to develop in western to central Minnesota and move east-southeast, possibly escalating into a severe weather event.

Temperatures are expected to be hot and muggy throughout the week, with highs ranging from the upper 70s to lower 80s on Monday and Tuesday, and reaching 90 degrees by Wednesday. Lows will range from the mid-40s to mid-60s.

Residents should secure outdoor items, review emergency plans, and ensure they have multiple ways to receive weather alerts. Stay safe and remain vigilant as these weather systems progress.
