Missouri, Illinois Brace for Severe Thunderstorms Tuesday Evening

St. Louis, MO – Severe thunderstorms are predicted to hit central, northeastern Missouri, and west-central Illinois Tuesday evening, posing risks of damaging winds, large hail, and potential tornadoes.

According to the National Weather Service in St. Louis, the storms will arrive in northeastern Missouri around 6 p.m. and reach west-central Illinois by 9 p.m., with intensity decreasing after midnight. The severe weather is expected to impact areas including Columbia, Quincy, and Springfield, IL.
