Missouri Thunderstorms Expected to Bring Severe Winds Overnight

Kansas City, MO – Severe thunderstorms are expected to impact northwest Missouri overnight, bringing potentially damaging winds.

According to the US National Weather Service Kansas City, a line of thunderstorms is forecast to enter far northwest Missouri around 3 a.m. Friday, moving east-southeast through the region until morning. Wind gusts of 60-70 mph pose the primary hazard. 

Additional rounds of strong storms may develop Friday afternoon and continue through the weekend, raising concerns for severe weather. Residents are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions.
