Naperville, IL – The Naperville Police Department has reported on its latest enforcement actions to ensure compliance with tobacco and alternative nicotine product laws. A recent sweep by the department found that the vast majority of retailers are upholding the law.

According to the Naperville Police Department, during the recent compliance checks, 96% of the 84 inspected retailers successfully adhered to regulations that prohibit the sale of tobacco and alternative nicotine products to individuals under the age of 21. Three establishments, however, did not pass the check and have been cited for violations. The businesses cited include Smoke N Talk on Ace Lane, Casey’s on South Route 59, and Smoke O Vapor, also located on South Route 59. These actions are part of ongoing efforts to curtail underage access to tobacco and nicotine products.
