Naperville, IL – A kitchen fire in a Naperville home on Tuscany Lane caused an estimated $100,000 in damages Friday night, according to the Naperville Fire Department.
The incident, which rendered the house uninhabitable, was reported at 8:31 p.m. when the homeowner discovered smoke upon returning home.
Responding immediately to the call, fire crews encountered intense flames in the kitchen and heavy smoke emanating from the garage. The fire, which was upgraded to a general alarm, brought 24 personnel to the scene. By 8:49 p.m., firefighters had the blaze under control, following an aggressive interior attack.
The Naperville Police Department assisted at the scene. No injuries were reported among occupants or firefighters. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by authorities.
