South Bend, IN – Residents across Northern Indiana should prepare for a series of potentially severe weather events scheduled to impact the area this week.

The National Weather Service has issued warnings for scattered strong to severe thunderstorms, particularly Tuesday afternoon through evening, with the likelihood of damaging winds and hail. The most significant risks are forecasted south of the Michigan border.

According to the latest updates, storms could begin as early as 2 PM EDT on Tuesday and last until 10 PM. The entire forecast area, especially regions around Fort Wayne and Marion, are under a yellow alert, which indicates a significant risk of severe weather.

Local authorities advise securing outdoor objects and reviewing personal and family emergency plans as conditions could deteriorate quickly. Further updates and weather advisories are expected as the situation develops.
