Ohio Senator calls for resignations of Senators who ‘betrayed oaths of office’

CHICAGO – Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown has called for the expulsion of Senators Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).

Both @HawleyMO and @SenTedCruz have betrayed their oaths of office and abetted a violent insurrection on our democracy.

I am calling for their immediate resignations.

If they do not resign, the Senate must expel them.

Both Hawley and Cruz continued to support claims of election fraud following the Occupation of the US Capitol Wednesday night.
