Park Forest Man Shot in Apartment Hallway Altercation, Suspect at Large

Park Forest, IL – A Park Forest man was shot in the leg Tuesday morning in an apartment hallway.

According to the Park Forest Police Department, the 30-year-old victim was shot at 9:47 a.m. at 133 North Arbor Trail. Officers and paramedics provided emergency first aid before transporting him to Franciscan Saint James Hospital in Olympia Fields. He is in stable condition.

Police revealed the victim was involved in an altercation with another man who shot him. The suspect was identified but not found in the building, which has since been secured. The incident is isolated, with no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
