Kankakee, Illinois – In a routine safety stop, Kankakee City Police arrested 35-year-old Gregory King on drug charges. King, who was riding a bicycle with a non-functional taillight, was initially stopped for a safety check due to the absence of the light and his dark clothing, which posed a risk for night riding.

Upon discovering King was on parole, officers conducted a search, leading to the discovery of heroin concealed in his shoe. The arrest highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to ensure community safety and uphold law and order.
