A Peoria market will soon be treated like a nightclub on Mondays and Thursdays by carding customers at the door, only allowing access to those 65 years of age and up.

Haddad’s West Peoria Market announced the change in its service in a Facebook post on Monday as a way to offer less stress on seniors and expose them to the freshest conditions of the market.

“Currently, each morning prior to the store opening, we are doing a deep disinfecting cleaning. This includes all floors, handles, railings, carts, and other surfaces. By allowing seniors to shop first, we hope to help reduce the stress of shopping for our senior customers.”

Shopping for seniors will be allowed from 8 am till noon each day until further notice at the Market.
