Pontiac, IL – Gas Line Struck in East Howard Street Accident

Pontiac, IL – In a potentially dangerous incident this morning, a gas service line was struck in the 500 block of E. Howard St., Pontiac. 

Prompt action by the Pontiac Fire Department, aided by Nicor Gas, averted any serious risks. The accident, occurring at approximately 9:55 AM, led to an immediate response from emergency services. 

Authorities report that the issue was quickly mitigated, with no hazards present. As a safety measure, Howard Street was temporarily shut down but has since been reopened, marking a swift and effective management of a critical situation.
