BRADLEY – A memorial for fallen Bradley Police Sergeant Marlene Rittmanic will be held this evening beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Village Hall.

Members of the public are encouraged to come out for the ceremony  to remember Sergeant Rittmanic on what would have been her 50th birthday.

Rittmanic was killed last December while responding to a noise complaint at Comfort Inn Hotel in Bradley of some dogs barking.

Rittmanic was a member of the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Department from 2000 through 2007 and had been with the Bradley Police Department since 2007.  She was promoted to Sergeant in 2014.
