Severe Thunderstorms Predicted for Southeastern Minnesota, Western Wisconsin

Minneapolis, MN – The National Weather Service is warning residents of the danger for severe thunderstorms this afternoon, mainly east of the I-35 corridor. Residents in southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin should prepare for large hail, strong wind gusts up to 60 mph, and the potential for isolated tornadoes.

According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, the strongest storms are expected to occur between 3-5 PM today. Breezy conditions will persist throughout the day, with a largely dry and comfortable Memorial Day Weekend anticipated. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and have a plan in place for severe weather.
