While penguins have had the opportunity to explore the halls of the Shedd the last four months, Illinois residents have been restricted.
That will change on Friday, July 3rd, when the Shedd reopens to visitors.
Changes will be coming to the Aquarium however, including separate enterance and exit points for visitors and limited, timed admissions to keep a steady flow of traffic throughout the day while limiting guests.
Facemasks will also be required.
BIG NEWS. Shedd Aquarium is ready to reopen! 🎉
