Stolen Jaguar crashes after chase, bursts into flames in Peotone Friday night

PEOTONE –A man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after allegedly high jacking a high-end luxury car and crashing it near Peotone.

It happened Friday night when a chase began after an unidentified man reportedly high jacked a 2020 Jaguar and got in a chase. State Police report the chase first began in Calumet Park and went nearly 30 miles down I-57 before the man lost control of the Jaguar, crashing it on the center medium in Peotone. The vehicle bursts into flames following the crash.

The suspect has not been identified.

Another car was involved in the incident that had three others inside. The party was not seriously injured in the incident.
