The U.S. has become the first country in the world to surpass 100,000 daily cases of COVID-19.
In all, 100,233 cases were reported Friday, shattering the record posted 24-hours prior of 91,000 cases in a single day. Since October 1st, over 30 states have set new records for case counts, including Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Nearly 230,000 people in the U.S. have now lost their lives to the pandemic.
