Salem Lakes, WI – A Wisconsin woman died in an ATV crash in Salem Lakes on Sunday night.
According to Sgt. Colin Coultrip, Public Information Officer, the crash occurred around 9:11 PM on June 9th. Residents reported seeing an ATV crash into a ditch along 234th Avenue in the 8600 block. The operator, 36-year-old Samantha Pageau, was found unconscious and not breathing by the time first responders arrived.
Pageau was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office. The crash prompted a response from multiple agencies, including the Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Conservation Wardens, who are collaborating on the investigation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department extended condolences to Pageau’s family and friends. They also highlighted the availability of the Kenosha Human Development Services Crisis Line, which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at 262-657-7188, offering support to those in need.
