The United Center ownership, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks announced today on behalf of their respected front offices and players they will pay day-of-game employees throughout the remainder of the originally scheduled season.

“Our employees, whether they be front office staff, or our approximately 1,200 day-of-game staff, are family, and we will navigate this unprecedented situation together.”

Earlier this week, both the NBA and NHL were one of many professional supports leagues that suspended operations early in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  On Wednesday, Utah Jazz player Gobert tested positive for the Coronavirus.  Minutes later the NBA suspended the season indefinitely, becoming the first major franchise to do so.
