
Hartland, NY – Residents in the Town of Hartland are recovering this morning after a late-night residential structure fire drew a massive response from local emergency services on Monday, April 20, 2026.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers at the Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a fire at 9018 Asher Street at approximately 11:14 p.m. Personnel from the Hartland Volunteer Fire Company and Middleport Volunteer Fire Company were the first to arrive on the scene, where they confirmed a “working house fire” was in progress.
The scale of the blaze required significant reinforcements. Firefighters and equipment from the Barker Volunteer Fire Company, City of Lockport Fire Department, Wright’s Corners Volunteer Fire Company, and Gasport Chemical Hose Volunteer Fire Company all responded to the scene. Emergency medical support was provided by Tri-Town Ambulance and Mercy Ambulance.
First responders worked quickly to extinguish the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby residences and surrounding buildings. Officials confirmed that all occupants of the house were safely evacuated before the fire could cause harm. No injuries were reported to residents or the dozens of firefighters on the scene.
