Altadena, CA – Community Mobilizes in Search for Missing Resident

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has issued an urgent call for public assistance in locating 73-year-old Donna Louise Bertiger, who was last seen on the afternoon of April 17, 2024, in Altadena. A resident of the 1700 block of Alta Wood Drive, Bertiger is described as a white female, 5’06”, weighing 110 lbs, with blonde hair and blue eyes, last spotted wearing blue jeans and blue shoes.

According to officials, Bertiger has Alzheimer’s disease, and there is heightened concern for her safety. The Sheriff’s Department is intensively searching the area and has asked for the community’s help. Residents with any information are encouraged to contact the Missing Persons Unit at (323) 890-5500 or provide anonymous tips via the “Crime Stoppers” hotline at (800) 222-TIPS. The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
