Plumas County, CA – Snowmobile Accident Leads to Major Rescue Effort in Lakes Basin

Plumas County, CA – Plumas County Search and Rescue teams, along with multiple agencies, conducted a significant rescue operation following a snowmobile accident in the Lakes Basin area south of Graeagle. 

According to the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office, the emergency call was received on Sunday afternoon, reporting a snowmobile rider with major injuries. Responding teams included Graeagle Fire Department, Eastern Plumas Ambulance, REMSA Health Careflight, and CHP – Northern Division Air Operations. 

The victim was airlifted to a medical center for treatment. The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office commended all responders for their prompt and coordinated efforts in this emergency situation.
