KANKAKEE – The Kankakee County Humane Foundation has 29 “Hurricane Dogs” looking for new homes in St. Anne. The dogs arrival was due to Hurricane Laura, which became the strongest hurricane to hit the state of Louisiana in 164 years when it hit in late August.

The dogs range from mixed terriers and black labs to golden retrievers. Most are puppies and they’re all awaiting new homes.

Those interested in providing the pups with a new home can log on to the Foundation’s website and fill out an adoption form.
