4 Days after Executive Order signed, Riverside Health Fitness Center Closes

Riverside Health Fitness Center will its doors at 7pm tonight due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This news follows as the 1st Case of Coronavirus was announced at Riverside Medical Center earlier this morning.

In an announcement posted to social media said the Riverside Health Fitness Center’s decision was made after ‘following careful consideration.’

Mixed messages fill a Facebook news feed from the Fitness Center.

Riverside Health Fitness Center failed to mention why it is choosing to close now and waited four days to do so following the Governor’s signed an executive order for the State of Illinois for all Fitness Centers to close.  The man who tested positive at Riverside Medical Center was in his 70s and is now quarantined in his home. 

Riverside Health Fitness Center’s primary clientele are traditionally older in age. Offices are also located inside of the facilities.
