Illinois High School Association Board announced Tuesday the cancellation of Spring State Tournaments due to COVID-19, just four days after Gov. Pritzker told residents the cancelation of in-person learning days for the remaining 2019-2020 school year.

The IHSA Board also suspended Summer Contact Days for the time.

Shortly following the announcement, Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School Athletic Director Mike Kohl notified Boosters the notification from IHSA does not mean Summer Camp is canceled, just on hold for the time being.

“As soon as it is safe we will hit the ground running!” Kohl told BBCHS Football Boosters Tuesday.

IHSA has left the door open for local school districts and conferences to cancel the season themselves, even though there is still a chance games could continue at a later date, so long as the State of Illinois deems it safe to compete.
