BOURBONNAIS – The Village of Bourbonnais has closed the Village Administration Building Lobby following a COVID-19 positive among village staff.

“We feel these preventative actions are what is best for our employees and public health as safety always remains our number one priority,” Mayor Paul Shore said Tuesday. “We will continue to monitor the situation and notify the public. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding.”

The Building will be closed to the public starting immediately today and will remain closed through Friday, October 23rd. The decision to reopen will be revisited by local officials next Monday, October 26th. Bourbonnais officials can still be reached by phone at 815-937-3570.

The Village of Bourbonnais Administration Building is located at 600 Main Street NW, located next door to the Municipal Center.

The announcement comes less than a week before early voting begins in Bourbonnais. Bourbonnais residents will begin to find poll workers on hand at the Municipal Center at 700 Main St. NW in the downstairs portion beginning next Monday, October 26th, through Friday noon to 6 pm and Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm.
