The elusive gator that escaped capture for a week earlier this month in the Humboldt Park Lagoon is getting a loving tribute from the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame.

Chance the Snapper, who captivated the imaginations of residence as a gator on the run from the law, will forever become immortalized as a bobblehead. According to the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame, the gator’s head and tail will both move.  Presale is now underway and expected to ship in October.

Other notable releases in recent years with a Chicago connection include Loyola University team chaplain Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt and Cubs Announcer Pat Hughes following the 2016 World Series.
