NAPERVILLE, Ill. — A series of burglaries plaguing a convenience store on Fairway Drive in Naperville has come to an alleged halt with the arrest of a Chicago man.

Naperville Police identified the suspect Thursday afternoon as 21-year-old Kwan McNeal from the West Adams Street neighborhood, who now faces multiple felony allegations in connection with the two recent burglaries that took place on June 5 and 8.

Officers swiftly responded to burglary reports at the food and liquor store, with incidents occurring on two separate occasions. Each time, the perpetrator made off with numerous bottles of alcohol, amounting to an estimated loss of over $3,200.

After an intensive investigation, law enforcement authorities managed to track down McNeal. On June 14, officers from a neighboring jurisdiction executed a warrant and took him into custody. McNeal now faces two counts of alleged burglary, a class 2 felony, along with two counts of retail theft of merchandise exceeding $300, which carries a class 3 felony charge.
