Community Alert: Indiana Residents Urged to Protect Free Speech Amid Surge in Political Sign Thefts

Jasper County, IN – Authorities in Jasper County, Indiana, are on alert after multiple reports of a group allegedly stealing political campaign signs. 

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office has identified four pickup trucks, two light gray and two towing small white trailers, suspected of being involved in these illegal activities.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, tampering with or removing political campaign signs from private property is a violation of Indiana state laws, as these signs are protected under the rights of free speech and expression. 

The community is encouraged to keep watch and report any vehicles matching the description of the suspects to law enforcement. The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office emphasizes their commitment to investigating these reports thoroughly to uphold the law and ensure respect for private property.
