COVID-19: 200 now dead in Will County, 30% jump in cases since April 30th

Will County Health Department officials announced a dismal milestone Friday, announcing over 200 deaths have now occurred due to COVID-19 complications.   There have now been 3,592 positive cases in the County since the pandemic began, resulting in a fatality rate of 5.5%.

On Friday, 126 new cases were announced by the Health Department.  It marks the sixth straight day with over 100 new cases of the deadly pandemic announced by the Department.  Since Thursday, April 30th, 1,087  new cases have been announced by Will County Health, averaging 135 new cases daily since that time.

That number accounts for 30% of all cases in the County to date.
