COVID-19: Kankakee County now at 634 ACTIVE cases, 874 to date

Kankakee County now has 634 active COVID-19 cases.

That announcement came from County Health officials on Thursday, as totals since the pandemic began climbed to 874 cases.  There are currently 25 people in the County hospitalized for COVID-19. 

Of new cases announced today, 13 were from individuals ages 20-29, with 1 case under 13 years of age.  No new deaths were announced Thursday and stand at 36 deaths since the pandemic began.

Cases increased Thursday via IDPH over the course of the past 24 hours, reporting Kankakee (+41), St. Anne (+1) and Momence (+1). Here’s how cases break down across Kankakee County via confirmed Zip Codes on Tuesday:

  • 59 Cases (Manteno)
  • 100 Cases (Bourbonnais)
  • 37 Cases (Bradley)
  • 341 Cases (Kankakee)
  • 20 Cases (St. Anne)

  • 18 Cases (Pembroke)
  • 10 Cases (Chebanse)
