The Kankakee Public Library is establishing a new discussion groupgeared towards topics affecting people of color in our world today. This new group, Cultivating Culture, will have its inaugural meeting on Tuesday, August 2nd at 6pm on the 4th floor of the library. This group offers a safe place to bring awareness to issues that are at the forefront of our community. A different topic will be chosen each month. The topic for this meeting will be: safe places for people of color. Be prepared to learn, share, and listen to others in our community.
