DuPage County, IL – The Illinois Sheriffs’ Association is now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 Peacekeepers Scholarship.
The scholarship program is dedicated to dependents of law enforcement officers and military personnel who are either on active duty, retired, or have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Eligibility for the Peacekeepers Scholarship is open to dependents of active-duty or retired law enforcement officers, those who have lost their lives while serving, as well as dependents of active-duty military, military reserve, national guard members, or those killed in action.
The scholarship aims to provide financial assistance for higher education to the deserving sons and daughters of Illinois’s bravest, without any discrimination based on race, age, creed, color, sex, or national origin. The key requirements include being a permanent resident of Illinois and planning to enroll as a full-time student at an accredited institution of higher learning.
Interested applicants are urged to retrieve the application forms from their local sheriff’s office or online at www.ilsheriff.org.
