Illinois names nursing homes, long-term care facilities with COVID-19, Kankakee, Will reporting

Illinois Department of Public Health began releasing names of long-term care facilities tied to COVID-19 positive cases on Sunday.  As of current, over 20 counties are reporting at least one case with over 1,800 cases tied to long-term care facilities.  Nearly 300 deaths have been tied to long-term care facilities during the pandemic.

Among new data reporting includes Aperion Care in Bradley reporting 2 cases of COVID-19 and Symphony of Joliet now reporting over 80 cases of COVID-19.

On Wednesday last week, Symphony reported over 20 deaths. Joliet Mayor Bob O’Dekirk has asked the Pritzker Administration to launch a full investigation into the outbreak at Symphony.

Below is a current chart with reporting nursing homes in Kankakee and Will County.Ā  No cases of COVID-19 have been reported among residents in nursing homes located in Iroquois County.
