According to Elmhurst Police reports it happened around 1:30 PM on October 5, an armed man approached the vehicle on foot, demanding cash after revealing his black handgun.

The assailant, identified as a Black male with a white surgical mask, black hooded sweatshirt, and black pants, made off with the withdrawn money, fleeing in a blue Mitsubishi SUV. His escape route is currently unknown.

The Elmhurst Police Department, under Chief Michael McLean, is fervently checking nearby security videos. They’re urging ATM users to exercise caution and appealing for any information at 630-530-3050.
