Organizers of the Frankfort Bluegrass Festival scheduled for July 11th and 12th announced this morning the 10th Annual event would be canceled due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

“This has been a very tough decision to make. Given the current situation, we feel it is in the best interest for public safety and health in our community. We will look ahead and plan towards a great festival in 2021,” said organizers of the event in a statement today.

The annual event was put on as a free festival made possible by donations and support of Village of Frankfort neighbors, businesses and sponsors.   The Festival will start fundraising again later this fall.

“In the mean time, there is so much assistance needed elsewhere in our local communities because of this pandemic. Please consider donating to local charities, food banks, health care workers, front line workers, first responders and any others at need this year instead,” said organizers.

Next year’s Frankfort Bluegrass Festival is scheduled for July 10th & 11th.
