The Grundy County Law Enforcement Managers Association is offering a scholarship to four high school graduates or college students pursuing a degree-bound program, preferably related to Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement.
The scholarship committee will award four scholarships of $500 each to full-time students attending a college or university in the 2023-24 school year. The scholarship application must be completed and returned to the Grundy County Law Enforcement Managers Association Scholarship Committee by April 24th, 2023.
The purpose of the Grundy County Law Enforcement Managers Association Scholarship Fund is to provide financial assistance toward an Associate, Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement.
The only limitations on the applicants are that they must be enrolled as full-time students for the fall semester of the 2023-2024 school year. Preference will be given to Grundy County residents, family members of active or retired Grundy County Law Enforcement Officials, family members of current or retired Association members, individuals seeking a degree in a criminal justice related field, and individuals who have not received the Association’s scholarship in the past.
Applications should be submitted by April 24th, 2023, and are available at any Grundy County Law Enforcement Agency or can be requested by contacting Chief Chris Harseim at (815)634-8513 or Chief Deputy Eric Werden at (815)-941-3191.
The scholarship fund aims to provide financial assistance to those who wish to pursue a career in criminal justice or law enforcement and contribute positively to their community.
