Body found in Farm Field near I-65

REMINGTON – Local law enforcement discovered a body Sunday of a resident that had been missing for nearly two weeks.

According to the Jasper County Coroner’s Office, the discovery was made in Remington approximately 3/4 mile north of US 24 and west of I-65 in a farm field for a body, which turned out to be a missing 81-year-old man from White County.

The man had been missing since September 2nd

His cause of death remains under investigation.
