JOLIET – Officers in Joliet are investigating a robbery at the drive-thru of a Wendy’s on Larkin Avenue this weekend.

According to reports, it happened Friday morning shortly after 11:30 when a male suspect ordered a children’s meal at the drive-thru.  The suspect allegedly walked up to the drive-thru window and reviled a handgun under his waistband, demanding money from the cashier.  The cashier reportedly moved back further into the restaurant while the suspect fled the scene.

Investigators say it’s unknown if the suspect got away with any money.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Kilgore at 815-724-3235 or email crimestoppersofwillcounty.org or call 1-800-323-6734 if they wish to remain anonymous.
