Kankakee, IL – The aroma of grilled hot dogs will mingle with the spirit of community betterment in Kankakee today, as Jaenicke’s hosts a unique fundraiser, “Red Hots for the Riverwalk,” to bolster the city’s efforts in revitalizing the downtown riverfront.

From 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM, this culinary landmark at 390 E. River St. will donate 50% of all proceeds towards planting lush trees along the Riverwalk, turning every bite into a step toward sustainability.

The initiative promises a delicious opportunity for locals to rally around the Riverwalk’s transformation, a project aimed not only at enhancing the natural beauty but also at creating a haven for residents and visitors alike. By participating, diners contribute directly to what is set to become a leafy retreat in the heart of Kankakee.
