Vandalism Strikes Kankakee Fire Station, Police Seek Witnesses

Kankakee, IL – A Kankakee fire station located on the 200 block of West Water Street suffered significant damage Monday evening. 

The incident, which occurred around 8:30 PM, resulted in a shattered front window, with authorities suspecting the use of a firearm or rock in the vandalism.

According to the Kankakee Police Department, an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances of the event. Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers at 815-93-CRIME. This act of vandalism not only disrupts the operations of the fire station but also poses a threat to community safety.
