Illinois, Iowa Face Severe Weather: High Winds, Over 2 Inches of Rain Predicted for Quad Cities

Quad Cities, IL/IA – Quad Cities area is on alert as the National Weather Service predicts significant rainfall and thunderstorms. 

Starting late Thursday, the region may experience over two inches of rain, extending through the weekend. Severe weather is particularly possible Friday afternoon into the night, with high winds reaching 35+ mph. A temporary respite may come Saturday with decreased storm coverage, but the threat renews Saturday night into Sunday. 

Residents are advised to monitor updates and take necessary precautions against potential flooding and storm impacts.
