Nearly 10% jump in COVID-19, ages 40-49 top most cases in Kankakee County

The close of the weekend saw with it an 8% jump in case counts among residents living in Kankakee County.

A total of 10 new cases were announced Monday morning, bringing totals to the County closer to the century mark, currently standing at 86. Of which, five are dead, six have recovered.

New cases reported Monday include residents ranging from 20 years of age to a woman in her 90s. Cases in Kankakee County now range from children to 90 years old.

On Sunday, Kankakee Mayor Chasity Wells-Armstrong announced the City had taken steps to close down basketball and tennis courts in the area.
