New Lenox – The New Lenox Fire Protection District is currently requesting vehicle donations. The vehicles will be used for training in extrication and other skills.

“We are looking for cars, SUVs, trucks or vans,” said NLFPD Training Officer, Lieutenant Brian Applegate. “The donated vehicles really help us out by allowing us to train and refresh our skills when using our extrication tools, as well as practicing new techniques on vehicle stabilization.”

The vehicles must be a complete vehicle but does not have to run. Vehicles need to have a title to be donated. For more information or to donate a vehicle, contact info@nlfire.com or call the NLFPD District Office at (815) 463-4500.

The primary mission of the New Lenox Fire and Ambulance Protection District is to provide a range of programs designed to protect the lives and property within New Lenox Village and Township from the effects for fires and sudden medical emergencies or exposure to dangerous conditions created by man or nature with professional, compassionate, and quality service.
