No new COVID-19 cases reported in Kankakee in past 24-hours

Kankakee County Health Department officials reported no new cases on Thursday for the first time since reporting began.

The current COVID-19 count stands at 1,202 with 577 active cases in the County.  Of those, 11 are now hospitalized with three new hospitalizations in the last 24 hours.

On Thursday, IDPH announced 929 new cases of COVID-19, including 116 deaths. IDPH reported two new deaths in Kankakee County on Thursday.  Both are males in their 90s.  The death toll stands at 58 in Kankakee County. 

Statewide, the death toll has increased to 5,736 since March.
