OSWEGO, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office announced today that they found no evidence of criminal activity after an in-depth investigation into allegations against an Oswego Township or Oswego Township Road District Elected Official.

The complaint, made by a community member on September 13, suggested potential misuse of township resources.

Sheriff Dwight Baird stressed the importance of trust in elected officials and expressed satisfaction that the official in question had not betrayed that trust. “It’s important to know that we take any allegation of misconduct very seriously and we will thoroughly investigate any such complaint,” Baird said.
