KANKAKEE—State Representative Lindsay Parkhurst (R-Kankakee) is hosting a blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross.  The event is Friday, January 17th from 1:00—5:00pm at the Kankakee Public Library, 201 E. Merchant Street, 4th Floor.

Representative Parkhurst’s Blood Drive helps local blood banks increase their supply after the shortages they experienced over the winter holidays.

“I am hosting this event so residents here in Kankakee can help save lives,” said Rep. Parkhurst.  “Blood banks are extremely important and the shortages they are experiencing statewide are detrimental to everyone here in Illinois.”

Walk-ins will be welcome, but an appointment is preferred.  To schedule an appointment contact Rep. Parkhurst’s office at (815) 523-7779.
