KANKAKEE—State Representative Lindsay Parkhurst (R – Kankakee) is hosting her fourth annual “Valentines for Veterans” program. She invites students and other interested citizens to make handmade valentine greetings with well-wishes to our veterans who served our country with pride.

“These valentines are a small token of our appreciation for the great service and sacrifice our veterans made to protect us and keep us safe,” Parkhurst said. “This is the fourth year for this program and so far it overwhelmingly inspires our residents to show their love by giving back to our veterans who gave so much for us.”

Cards can be sent to Rep. Parkhurst’s District Office: 370 E. Court Street, Kankakee by February 8. Rep. Parkhurst will be delivering the cards to local veterans throughout the 79th District in time for Valentine’s Day.

With questions about the program, contact Rep. Parkhurst’s office at (815) 523-7779.
