Search continues for man who fell into Kankakee River near Aroma Park

AROMA PARK – Local authorities are continuing a search today for a man who fell into the Kankakee River Saturday just outside of the village.

According to the Kankakee Sheriff’s Office, the victim is a 61-year-old African American male wearing chest-high waders. 

“Please keep the victim and his family in your prayers during this very difficult time,” Kankakee Sheriff’s Office said Sunday.

Assisting in the search are the Department of Natural Resources and area fire departments.

Kankakee Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to contact 815-933-3324.
