Truck goes Airborne in New Years Day crash in Indiana

INDIANA – A Hoopeston man is recovering in the hospital after a crash on New Years Day that reportedly sent his truck into the air after hitting a T-intersection on a rural road.

According to reports, 23-year-old Waylon E Henning was headed West on a country road in Newton County before the truck he was driving ran through the intersection, hitting a ditch, triggering Henning’s vehicle to go into the air before landing in a field.

Firefighters were called to the scene to cut Henning out of the vehicle. He was later sent to an area hospital with reportedly non-life-threatening injuries.
